SANTA CATALINA MONASTERY
Founded in 1580 as cloister monastery, is divided en city districts similar to the colonial time.

SANTA TERESA MONASTERY
Colonial art gallery. Founded in 1710, has 12 exhibition halls where paintings, furniture, gold and silver work, and sculptures are shown.

MAIN SQUARE
Surrounded for arches made with sillar (a volcanic stone) and the imposing cathedral. It also has a beautiful bronze fount with a XVI century soldier figure.

THE CATHEDRAL
Was built during XVII century using a local volcanic stone called sillar. Has been struck by several earthquakes, but is now fully rebuilt.

YURA´S THERMAL BATHS
They are located 30 km north from Arequipa. Well known for the therapeutic properties of their water which temperature fluctuates between 29°C (84,2°F) and 31°C(87,8°F). They are conformed by thermal wells in the vicinity of the Chachani volcano, 2,530 meters over sea level.

COLCA VALLEY
The Colca valley becomes a canyon of 3,400 meters depth and 100 kilometers length. It is the land of condors and archeological remains, agriculture terraces, churches, landscapes, lamas, costumes and ancient traditions.

CARMEN ALTO OBSERVATORY
Located in the traditional town of Carmen Alto, 7 minutes away from the main square. From here you can appreciate the spectacular volcanic geography of Arequipa and the beautiful Chili Valley
